Religious Emblem Program

Unity's Religious Emblems Program is for youth ages 6 to 18. Through this program, young people work closely with adults to help achieve a basic spiritual understanding and can earn awards for Boy Scouts of America; Camp Fire, Inc.; Girl Scouts of the USA; 4-H and other youth groups. However, they do not have to be in a scouting group to participate in the Religious Emblems Program. A young person may work on a one-to-one basis with a counselor. A small group may gather periodically to compare notes or to complete some of the requirements together with a minister or assigned counselor. A Unity church can also offer an after school group to accomplish the awards together. At this time, we do not have a Religious Emblem Program for adults.

God in Me ages 6-10

What is the purpose of the God In Me Program?
The purpose of this program is to help young people of Unity deepen their faith and further their knowledge of the Christ within. It provides an opportunity for those participating in the program to relate closely with their parents or guardians, counselors, and ministers on the subject of Truth.

Who is eligible?
The God in Me emblem program is for young people in Unity between the ages of 6 and 10. The following national youth groups acknowledge this award: Boy Scouts of America; Camp Fire, Inc.; Girl Scouts of the USA; 4H Club; as well as other youth groups.

How do I get started?

• If you are a student, talk with your parents and your minister about finding your counselor.
• Download the God in Me workbook. 
• Start working on the activities listed in the God In Me workbook.
• After completion of all activities, have minister send the signed application for the God in Me Emblem to The Association of Unity Churches. Order the emblem online with a credit card by clicking shop in the menu, or print this form to mail with your payment.
• When the emblem arrives, you and your minister should set a date for the presentation of the award at an appropriate church service.

Light of God, ages 11-13

What is the purpose of the Light of God Program?
The purpose is to give young people in Unity a practical method to achieve a basic spiritual understanding of the truths taught by Unity, to support and recognize youth for their achievements in the presence of the church body, and to provide recognition by all participating youth agencies.

Who is eligible?
The Light of God emblem program is for young people in Unity between the ages of 11 and 13. The following national youth groups acknowledge this award: Boy Scouts of America: Camp Fire, Inc.: Girl Scouts of the USA: 4H Club: as well as other youth groups.

How do I start?

• If you want to participate in this program, talk to your minister about how you can earn the Light of God Emblem.
• Download the Light of God workbook. 
• A counselor will be selected to work with you.
• Complete all seven requirements and mail the signed application to Association of Unity Churches. Order the emblem on-line with a credit card by clicking shop in the menu, or print this form to mail with your payment.
• When the emblem arrives, work with your minister to set a date for the presentation of the award at an appropriate church service.

Fillmore Youth Award, ages 14-18

What is the purpose of Fillmore Youth Award?

This award helps teens achieve a greater understanding of:

• Who they are
• The laws and principles of practical Christianity as taught by Unity
• The personal, Christ within
• How to relate and integrate spiritual principles into daily life.

Who is eligible?
The Fillmore Youth Award program is for young people in Unity between the ages of 14 and 18. The following national youth groups acknowledge this award: Boy Scouts of America; Camp Fire, Inc.; Girl Scouts of the USA; 4H Club; as well as other youth groups.

How do I get started?

• Talk with your parents and your minister about how to earn the award and who could be your counselor for the program.
• Download the Fillmore Youth workbook. 
• Start working on the activities listed in the Fillmore Youth workbook.
• After completion of all activities, have your minister send the signed application for the Fillmore Youth Award to the Association of Unity Churches' Leadership & Organizational Development department. Order the emblem online with a credit card by clicking shop in the menu, or print this form to mail with your payment.
• When the emblem arrives, work with your minister to set a date for the presentation of the award at an appropriate church service.
