Sacred Safety

Also known as risk management, sacred safety focuses on creating a safe environment through programming, facility, and staffing. For more information, go to sacred safety.

Training Opportunities

Within your own church:
Unity Youth Ministry Fast-Start Training Program (Item #6000), is a CD produced by your Association of Unity Churches International and designed for use with all youth ministry volunteers and directors. Includes five units covering volunteer opportunities, praying with young people, preparing lessons, Unity basics, classroom and behavior strategies and more. A wonderful tool to use in your church at your convenience.

Regional:
Each region provides training events for the churches in their area.
Each region also provides resources and support for youth program leaders from regional education consultants

National:
Child Teen Ministry Week is held every summer at Unity Village, Missouri. It is for all those who minister to children and teens including ministers, youth education directors, teen sponsors, volunteers and more.

CTMW is a 40-hour integrated study exploring how young people develop their image of God and how that image impacts their faith development; how the issues young people face help define their ability to survive and thrive; and how the use of story is foundational to one's growth in understanding who they are and why they are here.

The week covers how to create a church community environment that supports a child or teen's spiritual life through the best possible use of facility, programming (curriculum, activities and management), and staffing. The Bible and metaphysics for young people will be discussed as well. Download the 2009 flyer and registration form.
